Drift Setup 50/50

Here are some of the tips I learned on how to properly setup your kit for drifting...just the basics. Am not sure if this would work with other kits as well but atleast this setup is done on my TT01D and it really improved the performance of my kit.

First I'll list down all the hop-up parts installed on my kit and after I'll list down all the settings and setup that was done on it. Just a checklist and a little how to guide.

Hop-ups:

    • Initial Brake Force - Drag Brake Force
    • Neutral Range - 6%
    • Timing - 15.00
    • Overheat Protection - Enabled

    Setup Tips:
    • Ride height should be more or less 5mm from the ground
    • Use super soft springs for your dampers (stock TT01E stainless springs)
    • Use only 3 drops of damper oil for a more softer and responsive suspension
    • Front wheels should be in toe-out position
    • Rear Camber should be in zero position
    • There should be some decent play on your suspension arms and wheels
    • Steering arm (servo - steering link) should be aligned for better steering angle. You can use washers to adjust the arm position.Should be straight on position 0 and when you turn from left to right.
    • Lock the rear differentials by using hot melt glue or by using a spool
    • Added capacitors in my receiver (4700uF 10v) and ESC (4700uF 25v) to compensate for my high speed servo.

    Hope this helps...
