Eagle Racing GRT drift conversion for TT-01


This is almost a complete kit all in itself just add those tiny parts like bearings and gears and you get yourself a running chassis. This conversion chassis is very easy to assemble even though the manual is written in I think Chinese you can clearly just follow the diagram in it. Actually you can build it without looking at the manual except for some small parts that I had to figure out what it's for and where it belongs. It actually comes factory assembled but of course you'd need to take it apart to install those parts that were not included in the kit.




First thing that worried me about this chassis is the steering angle as the suspension mount is in the way of the steering arm I had to trensfer it on top of the upper deck and put a high spacer on my knuckle arms to get a wider angle. Next problem I encountered is the motor, since I was transferring from rear motor to front the wires from your ESC to your motor needs to be reconfigured connecting wires ESC #1 to motor #3 and ESC #3 to motor #1 (For brushless ESC/motors without the motor rotation direction setting). Third is that I had to shave the front gearbox to accomodate my 3racing front one way since it's grinding on the bottom part of the gearbox. Proper placement of spacers (shimming) is critical to get rid of bindings and the grinding noise made by the spur gear and the FOW.

This kit is compatible with 3racing and GPM parts contrary to some other sites or forums saying it isn't. It's about triple the price of a 3racing CF conversion kit but I can say it's well worth it. Parts are made of high quality and durable materials and CF parts are smoothly made. I give this product an overall score of 8 as they could've improved on the steering assembly of this chassis to make it more ready for CS (countersteer).
